No NZ SKIER Print Issue For 2024.

No Print Issue for 2024.

NZ SKIER has moved to online content only for the year.

Words Neil Kerr.
Kia ora skiers of New Zealand, we thought it was time to further update our valued readers around the reason why we did not publish our annual print edition for 2024.

As many of you will have read my update back in May (that we sent out via our email newsletter), my wife’s health has declined rapidly in the last four or five months as she continues her battle with cancer. As a result I made the difficult decision to step down from full time work and spend time with her and my young family.

The knock on affect of that decision is that Arrowsmith Media had to pause all its print publications until I return to work full time, which includes the 2024 New Zealand Skier Annual.

We have taken this break from print as an opportunity to relaunch NZ SKIER’s website, which has been given a fresh facelift after being neglected for years. We want to recreate the website as a real community hub for the passionate skiing population of New Zealand, a place where people come for quality content & news. A supportive platform for young skiers to tell their stories and to showcase their skills that creates a deeper community connection beyond standard social media.

Sam Smoothy, our editor, has been populating the new site with historical stories and features from the last few years of NZ SKIER in addition to some fresh content about to drop. We are also looking to expand our pool of content contributors so if you have stories and/or images to share or would like to discuss potential story ideas please contact Sam – samsmoothy86@hotmail.com

This is by no means the end of NZ SKIER as a print publication, in fact we have already started some exciting ideas for a new, improved magazine in 2025. We would like to thank our readership for their years of support and look forward to creating quality print content in the future.

Cheers
