The new multimillion dollar base building at Coronet Peak, which has received high praise from skiers and riders throughout the season, has now been officially recognised as a superior facility by the architecture industry.

More trails for novice and family mountain bikers are ready for summer mountain biking at Coronet Peak as increased access to existing trails and service roads is made available. 

The Coronet Peak Base Amenities have been named among outstanding buildings celebrated in the 2008 Southern Architecture Awards.

Thanks to cold temperatures and 30+ centimeters of new snow on Saturday, skiers and riders will be welcomed back to Coronet Peak tomorrow Tuesday 30th September.

A group of children from the Wakatipu area and their big buddies had a fun day in the snow at Coronet Peak on Sunday (7 September) as part of the local Buddy Programme.
