Deepest Snow at Treble Cone’s Opening Day Saturday
25th June 2009

Wanaka, New Zealand - JUNE 25th, 2009 Treble Cone is boasting the deepest snow depths of all the southern lakes resorts for their Opening Day this Saturday, June 27th. All main trails are groomed and will be open including the major runs in the Saddle. Forecasts are calling for more snow throughout Friday, so now is the perfect time to wax those boards and lay out some carves on Treble Cones perfect corduroy.
New Acting Managing Director Tim Hudson said, These are the best opening conditions we have seen at Treble Cone in the past twelve years, and it has been a pleasure to work with the TC team preparing for this season. With a healthy 90 cm base at top of the TC SIX Express and 110 cm at the top of the Saddle Basin QUAD the groomers have been hard at work packing out everyones favorite runs such as Easy Rider, Wide Glide and Main Street.
On Wednesday all of Treble Cones staff toured the resort and got a first hand feel for how good the conditions are. There were smiles all around and the 160 employees were stoked with their work.
There will be music on deck at the base lodge and dont forget to splash out at the award winning caf and bar. Treble Cone invites everyone up to come and enjoy the fun this opening day, so get above the cloud and strap on those skis and boards.
With the South Islands largest vertical descent, the most terrain and longest groomed trails, Treble Cone is New Zealands premier alpine resort. 360 degree views of the snow capped Southern Alps, brilliant blue lakes, and rugged Central Otago landscape make this one of the most memorable views of any resort. Situated on the edge of Lake Wanaka, Treble Cone has established itself as a mecca for all snow enthusiasts both locally and abroad. To find out more please visit www.treblecone.com
