Kiwis on fire at the Gatorade Freeflow Tour
17th January 2012
Two Kiwis claimed Gold at the Gatorade Freeflow Tour in Vail on the weekend. Auckland's Taylor King won the Slopestyle (14-21yrs), earning himself a spot at in the finals in Snowbasin, Utah in Feb. If he wins there he gets a spot in the Dew Tour.
Then in the younger age group Wanaka's Finn Bilous won both the Rail Jam and the Pipe comp, taking home two Golds for NZ.

Little Finn a top of the podium against some rather big looking competition!! Yeah Boi!
Finn's box run consisted of a 450 on 270 out of a flat box and a pretzel 450 off of a long flat pipe. Then in the half pipe he won it with the most technical run of the day, put down cleanly.

Rainbow is a classic Kiwi ski resort: a huge bowl with a T-bar up the centre and hiking along either ridge. Parents can relax outside the cafe and still keep a beady eye on their groms anywhere in the field.
