Team Canada win the JOSS overall award
19th April 2010
Team Canada took out the coveted overall award at the Jon Olsson Super Sessions in Are, Sweden last night. Their video edit sneaked first place on a countback after three teams tied for first place. Canada took the win by the fact they had the highest total in the overall impression category.
All the teams edits of their 2 weeks filming in Sweden, were watched in front of a full house at the Mix Megapol Arena in Are. They were judged on 5 categories(technical, style, urban, film and overall impression) with three points for first, two for second and one for third. After all the rounds there was a three way tie for first between Team Canada, Team Newschoolers and Team Norway, but because Team Canada received the highest score in overall impression they took the win and the cheque for US$20 000

The boys from team downunder had a rough night and judges scored them harshly in all the categories leaving them tied at the back of the field. But with 2 athletes injured during the week and only one dedicated filmer the boys did well and we can't wait to see the edit. Keep watching this space.....
