Cardrona announces 2010 early bird season pass prices

12th February 2010

Cardrona Valley, New Zealand (February 12, 2010) -- Cardrona Alpine Resort has today unveiled early bird season pass prices for 2010, retaining its position as one of the best value ski areas in the Southern Lakes District.

The early bird season pass sale starts February 16 and runs through to March 16, 2010.  Adult and student early bird season passes are priced at $560, child passes $125 and veteran passes $250.

A loyalty discount is offered to 2009 pass holders purchasing a 2010 season pass; $20 off adult and student passes $5 for children and $10 for veterans.

Cardrona Alpine Resorts Sales and Marketing Manager Nadia Ellis is pleased to announce that 2010 prices remain such good value despite a significant increase in operating costs and the companys $2 3 Million investment in the current Valley View Development.

Contractors are making excellent progress on phase one of the Valley View Development, said Ellis. 2010 pass holders will certainly benefit from the Valley View Quad chairlift installation and the added terrain it will offer.

Also, announced today is the 2010 daily lift pass prices.  Day passes are priced at $89 for adults and $44 for children, while the flexible Five Day Anytime Passes are $399 for adults and $200 for children.

As in previous years, children under 6 years and adults 75 years and over receive free day passes or can purchase a season pass for a small $5 processing fee.

Season passes are available on-line at www.cardrona.com or from the Wanaka town office. Cardrona is scheduled to open from 25 June to 3 October 2010.
