George Pengelly - Junior FWT video from the Daily Dump
23rd January 2012
Kiwi shredder George Pengelly was among the cluster of young-guns out in Chamonix to compete and make his mark on the world circuit. George started his run with a risky spin-to-win maneuver, that unfortunately didn't go as intended. He started with an impressive nose butter 360 of the first cornice into a deep powder shoot where he became stuck and crashed. He was planning to follow with an exposed double drop through the cliff band and launch off the lower cliff-face. As one of NZ's most progressive and up and coming freeskiers we knew he could pull it off, but this time he was not so lucky! In September last year, George won the FWT qualifying event 'NZ Freeski Open' at Remarkables and beat the likes of Sam Smoothly and Charlie Lyons. Keep your eyes on this young ripper. He's the one to watch in coming years.
